Bernard Banks

Bernard Banks, Sr. was born in Philadelphia, PA, November 26, 1935, to the late Frances and Raymond Banks. He was the Sixth son of ten boys, eight of whom have preceded him in death. Ernest, Lawrence, Raymond, Clarence, Harold, Donald, Melvin and Richard.

Bernard was educated in the Philadelphia School system. He worked various jobs the last being with the Phillies Organization as a Host. A job he was very passionate about, with Baseball being his favorite Sport.

Bernie as he was affectionately called was very family oriented. Anything the family was doing he wanted to be there. Not being a church goer, he believed in the Faith of the Lord.

His memory is cherished by his Brother and Sister-in-Laws, Jerome / Jackie, Pearl, Delores, one Cousin Joe Berry; Six children Theresa, Constance Chandler, Bernard Jr. / Marcella, Raymond, Gregory / Tajaun and Alicia; Grandchildren: Latasha, Katasha, Talia, Kimberly, Michael, Bernard III, Sharmia and Sonora, Seven Great Grandchildren and Host of Nieces and Nephews and Friends.
