Bernard Stanton

On August 5, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bernard Roger Stanton entered the world as 1 of 12 children of Eniz and James Stanton. He was called home to rest on February 2, 2022.

Bernard was educated in the Philadelphia School District before deciding to enter the work force. Bernard, during this time had his first child Faith Freeman. Later Bernard would get a job working for Keebler Company. While Bernard was working at Keebler by way of co-worker he met and married Karen Stanton (Deceased). From this union two children were born Nicole and Tracey Stanton. After Keebler Company closed, Bernard went to work for Household Metal Doors and Windows Inc. where he helped make Iron Security Doors. He would work there until he retired. During this time, he met Vanity Rumph and had two children Tiffany Rumph and Lakeisha Stanton. Bernard would later marry Vanity on December 9, 2004.

" Unc," as he was affectionately called, enjoyed his morning walks to grab a cup of coffee, spending time with family and friends, and watching sports. He also took great pleasure in cycling, grilling, and Skating. Carmen's skating rink was like a second home to Bernard.

"Unc's" partners in crime was his brother's David, Bobby, and Jimmy, also his nephew's Scoota, Roy, James, Leroy, George, Junior and Darryl, brother in-law Mike, friends E, Dave and Mont.

Bernard leaves to forever cherish his memories his (Loving wife: Vanity Stanton; Five beautiful daughters; Faith Freeman, Nicole (Jeffrey), Tracey, Tiffany ( Marcus Ellis) and Lakeisha ; Nine warm-hearted grandchildren Aaliyah, Teale, Angel, T'kyia, Spencer, Dominique, Kairi, Alyssa, and Aydin; Three caring Great-Grandchildren; Four Devoted sisters: Elvira (Sammie deceased) Goodman, Maxine Goodman, Shirley, and Alice Marie; Four devoted brothers David, Clarence, Ricky, and Johnnie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.)

Bernard was preceded in death by: James Stanton - father, Eniz Stanton - mother, and 3 brothers James, Joseph, and Richard.
