Carrie Elizabeth Bookman, age 93, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026.

Carrie lived a long and blessed life, rooted in faith and guided by love. As a devoted homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home where family, comfort, and prayer were at the center of daily life. Her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering belief in the Lord touched every person who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Bookman Sr., with whom she shared a life of devotion, family, and love. Carrie was also preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Bookman and Richard Bookman.

Carrie is survived by her loving children: Malinda Bookman, David Bookman, Donald Bookman Jr. and his wife Pamela Bookman, Roger Bookman, and Ronald Coleman (adopted). She was a proud and cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Carrie also leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and faith.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will live on through her family and friends, who will forever hold her in their hearts. The family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband and sons, resting safely in the presence of the Lord.
