Life Reflection of Earlene Bouknight
Earlene Bouknight was the third of four children, born to John and Emma Bouknight. She was born at the Woman’s Medical College Hospital on November 15, 1942. Her siblings that preceded her passing were Gladys Martin, Lucille Slade, and Charles Bouknight. On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, an angel of the Lord whispered in her ear, “Peace be Still” and called her home to eternal rest.
Earlene received her education in the Philadelphia school system and graduated from Gratz High School. For many years she worked pressing baby clothes at Nanette. She also spent several years working for the Sheraton Hotel.
Earlene was a lively and caring person. You were always able to talk with her because she was always able to easily share her thoughts. She enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family and rarely missed an opportunity to sit and be in the company of others. She occasionally tried new things and participated in the Senior Community Center for many years.
Earlene leaves to mourn and celebrate the memory of her life, her only son Britt Howard Bouknight and her granddaughter Angelique Bouknight. To that we would like to add her extended family, long time friends, and host of others at the Senior Center, which she loved to attend.
