Elder Duson-Bradford

December 30, 1962 — April 10, 2019

I DECIDED WHO TO BEST SPEAK FOR ME THAN ME……

I was born to the late Paul Elwood Duson Sr. and Betsy Duson Spruill, on December 30, 1962, that was a good year.

I loved the Lord and enjoyed praising him just as much. I lived, loved and laughed practically my whole life, but when I was diagnosed with brain cancer that excelled my faith to an all time high. I got so excited for what the Lord was about to do in my life, I could hardly contain myself. I knew the fight was going to be hard and moments where I was going to lose control but; the funny thing is I remember who I served and the diagnosis became a challenge, and you know what I think I liked it. Lol! I knew that the Lord had given me a second chance to do my first works over. Remembering the moment when you first got saved (Please do that if you haven’t, now is the perfect time) and you want to tell everyone about the Lord, that’s exactly what re-ignited my journey and I began to tell everyone I knew and didn’t know just exactly who our Lord Jesus Christ is and exactly what he can do for you what he absolutely did for me!

I was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System, and went on to receive my license as a Practical Nurse. I worked for over 36 years in the healthcare industry, ending my career at Temple Hospital, where I served my patients well for over 26 years and ministering the gospel all at the same time, because I wouldn’t have it any other way. Wherever the Lord leads you in life, never forget about your ministry and your purpose. That is the key to a fruitful life. I attended True Holiness Temple of School of Ministerial Concepts and Theological Studies where I received my Bachelors of Arts in Theological Studies while attending managed to become valedictorian and salutatorian. I became an ordained and licensed as a minister in July 2005 and I was blessed to be able to serve under an awesome leader, Chief Apostle Bishop Dr. Gloria J. Lewis.

I leave to cherish my memory, my loving mother Betsy(Preston), my wonderful siblings Paula (Allan), Jackie, and Paul Jr. (PJ) , my 2 beautiful and absolutely wonderful children whom I must say made me a very proud mom, (stick y’all chest out right there) Joseph (Jay) and Briana, my beautiful gentleman, Daniel aka Deuce mom-moms main man, Monae’ aka (my favorite niece, Horton’s Financial Services help made me financially complete….Call her asap!), Nephews; Briscoe, Sha’quan, Jerry Jr. and Donald Sr.. A host of relatives, friends and special people that I have met throughout the course of my life. I would like to say to Barbara Jones--Thank You because; when you invited me to bible study on Feb 1, 1994, little did I know the Lord had a higher plan for my life and because I could not find or buy an excuse not to go, I am grateful that I did, from the bottom of my heart I appreciate you beyond measure.

To all who sit here today my prayer is that the Lord bless you real good and I look forward to seeing you in the future. Have a wonderful day on purpose and let God be the Lord of your life today because tomorrow is not promised to you. Love you all…………………………………………….

HUG SOMEONE AND TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM!
