James Wilson, Jr. was born in Aiken, South Carolina on January 26, 1936 to James Wilson,Sr. and Minnie Green of Aiken, South Carolina.
  
  
  James received his education in Aiken South Carolina. He moved to Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1955 at the age of 19. James began an apprenticeship as a laborer for a construction company and also worked for the City of Philadelphia doing masonry, construction and stucco work.
  
  
  He met the love of his life Selena Wilson in 2005 and they were married in 2006. From this union he acquired two stepchildren, Serena and Benjamin Lennon and a granddaughter Selena Atkins.
  
  
  James loved traveling, playing music, and socializing with family and friends. Wilson (as he was affectionately known) had a strong personality and although he would speak his mind and tell you exactly how he felt, he would help anyone in need.
  
  
  James leaves to cherish many memories: his wife, Selena Wilson; two step-children, Serena and Benny Lennon; step-granddaughter, Selena Atkins; goddaughter, Cynthia Harris; sisters, Eva, Maddie, and Bertha; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
