After the Night, the Morning Bidding all darkness Cease After Life's Cares and Sorrows The Comfort and Sweetness of Peace.

Lisa Annette Cephas was born to Valerie Ann Cephas and Alfonso Cannon in Providence, Rhode Island on March 25,1971, the youngest of two daughters born to Valerie Ann Cephas. Lisa peacefully transitioned on June 15, 2026 at her home in Frederica, Delaware, surrounded by her loving family. She was fifty five years of age. Lisa was a caring and devoted mother to her two children, son, Dionisio Tyree Cephas (DJ) and daughter, Aliseya Mone't Cephas; and a doting grandmother to her three grandsons, Cruz, Ezra, and Dionisio Jr. (Baby D) whom she cherished and loved dearly.

As a child, Lisa attended elementary school in Providence, Rhode Island, later attending Central Elementary School and Frederick Douglas Elementary School in Seaford, Delaware. She attended Milford High School in Milford, Delaware, graduating from James H.Groves in Georgetown, Delaware.

Lisa was known as a "Go Getter", highly motivated and determined to

accomplish any goal she aspired to achieve. Even when her resources were Limited, she would stay the course. As an entrepreneur, she pursued and achieved her goal to become a licensed, professional, cosmetologist, providing professional and top quality service to her clientele for many years. She later became a paratransit driver for the Delaware Administration for Regional Transit, known as DART for a period of more than ten years, retiring due to her health. Lisa did more than just transport for DART, she was genuinely concerned about the passengers, being sensitive and observant to many of their other needs, recommending additional services and resources to assist them.

Her hobbies included caring for her plants, collecting angels, and dining at various seafood restaurants, enjoying her favorite Maryland Blue Crab. Her most enjoyable passion was spending time with her three grandsons, often expressing that she thanked God for her three babies.

Lisa would frequently share her thoughts about the strength, comfort, and peace that she received from praying, reading scripture, and being assured that God was with her. She also enjoyed her worship experience when in fellowship with the congregation at Pilgrim Ministries Church in Millsboro, Delaware.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Valerie Ann Cephas, to whom she herself was a devout caretaker, her maternal grandmother, Catherine Thompson -Taylor ,and her aunt Brenda " Yogi" Cephas.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son. Dionisio Tyree Cephas of Frederica, Delaware, one daughter, Aliseya Mone't Cephas of Millsboro, Delaware, two sisters, Terri Cephas of Bridgeville, Delaware, and Enyka Richards of Seaford, Delaware, one brother,Jodell Batson, one aunt Laverne (Vernie) Cephas of Seaford, Delaware, a devoted niece, Shavonda Cephas-Cartwright of Milford, Delaware, one nephew, Burnie Cephas of Seaford, Delaware, a caring and supportive cousin, Sheryl Cephas of Frederica, Delaware, several neices, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

She leaves a legacy of love to her children, Dionisio, Aliseya, and family, expressed in this poem.

A Fallen limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree

I keep hearing a voice that says "Grieve not for me " Remember the best times, The Laughter, the song, The Good Life I Lived

While I was Strong Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you Keep smiling and surely

The sun will shine through My mind is at ease My soul is at Rest Remembering All

How truly was blessed Continue Traditions

No matter how small Go on with your Life

Don't worry about Falls I miss you all dearly

So keep up your Chin Until the day comes
