Minzell Miree

Minzell Woodrow Miree, age 63, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully in Meriden, Connecticut on August 4, 2025. Born on December 26, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA to Duane Luther Miree and Mamie Ethel Miree, Minzell was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many.

Educated within the Philadelphia School System, Minzell graduated from Simon Gratz School before bravely enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served honorably for three years. His professional journey led him to Kling Linquist where he found his calling as a Building Engineer. Minzell later showcased his dedicated work ethic at Drill Master Eldorado Tool, Inc., where he was a valued employee.

Minzell was a man of many passions. A self-proclaimed chess master, he found joy in the strategic game, often beating his opponents with a victorious grin. He loved fishing, a quiet pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and find peace. An ardent fan of KFC, he cherished the indulgence daily, always proclaiming it was truly "finger-licking good". A film enthusiast, Minzell enjoyed spending his free time engrossed in movies like 'Drop', 'Four Seasons', and 'Seinfeld'. Minzell was a man of immense kindness and generosity, with a heart of gold that extended to all who knew him. His infectious smile and unique sense of humor made him a joy to be around. To know Minzell was indeed to love him. Minzell was preceded in death by his mother and father, Duane Luther Miree and Mamie Ethel Miree, his Grandmother whom he adored Fannie Easterling. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife, Loretta Miree; siblings, Duane Miree, Dwight Miree, Audrey Miree, and Sahn Miree, Children, Minzell Demetrius Miree, Montrell Durand Miree; and stepchildren Mark Suarez, Christopher Suarez, Eric Suarez, Christina Suarez, and Daniella Suarez. His legacy will continue to live on through them and the countless lives he touched.
