Neil E. Maddox Sr.

Neil E. Maddox, age 71, of Philadelphia, Pa, passed away on August 22, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1954, in Philadelphia, Pa to Edward Maddox and Ruby McClain. He was raised by Ruby McClain and William McClain following the passing of Edward Maddox during his early childhood. He graduated from West Philadelphia high school and went on to work in Environmental Services at various hospitals in the Philadelphia area.

Neil will be remembered for his quick wit, giving spirit, strength, and devotion to his family. He was also an avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife Lucy D. Waters-Maddox, children Kia Cooper, Kareem Maddox, Nikia Mack and Chardee' Thomas, four brothers, three sisters, nine grandchildren, and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father's Edward Maddox, William McClain, brother, Steve McClain and son, Neil Maddox Jr.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on his birthday November 22, 2026, details regarding venue and time will be released at a later date. His family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
