Shekenah Wiggins-Watkins

Shekenah Victoria Wiggins-Watkins affectionately known as“Kia”was born on August 17th,1981 to the late Eugene Utley and Evelyn Wiggins in Philadelphia, PA.

"Kia" was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. Kia was a graduate of the Simon Gratz High class of 1999. During her school years, Kia was a member of the track team,she loved to run.

Kia loved to cook, she loved to experiment and try new recipes that she would create on her own. She enjoyed traveling, especially internationally.She had a passion for decorating, and throwing parties to bring her family together. Kia was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family.

In 2004, Kia met the love of her life Rondell. Her nickname for Rondell was ”baby” and Rondell met the love of his life Shekenah whom he affectionately called ”my babydoll”. On May 22,2016 Kia and Ron were united in holy matrimony. On July 3,2009 Kia and Ron gave birth to a baby boy: Rondell E.Wiggins, whom she named after her husband and her father.

Kia was a fun loving person whose warm, yet bright smile and dazzling personality captured anyone she encountered. She will be truly be missed.

Kia was preceded in death by her father Eugene Utley, uncle Kenny Perry and great grandmother Gertrude Green.

She leaves to mourn: her husband Rondell Watkins, son: Rondell Wiggins, mother: Evelyn Wiggins, In laws: Rita and Ray Watkins, sisters: Tamika,Twanda,Shonte, sister in laws: Keya and Dayna, a brother in law Rayford,Aunts: Jackie,Eva,Joann, uncles :Willie,Edward,Tony,Bernard ,Randy and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
